Discover an intriguing lookout point along the road, rich with traces of ancient civilizations. Please note that the trail leading to the remains of historical structures is currently closed. Visit only if you haven't experienced this spot before!

The Enigmatic Guayedra

Nestled along the road is a fascinating excavation site that is unfortunately closed to visitors. We found ourselves a bit fatigued and, not being fluent in Spanish, decided to leave without fully grasping who once inhabited this area and how many centuries ago they thrived. It’s a curious thought—perhaps future generations will ponder the same questions about us!

Fun Fact: The Guayedra site is believed to have connections to the indigenous Guanche people, who inhabited the Canary Islands long before Spanish colonization. Their culture is rich with history, including unique cave dwellings and burial practices that are still a subject of fascination today.
