A breathtaking viewpoint at the summit of a mountain. Best visited in clear weather for the ultimate experience.

Perched high on Pico de las Nieves, this viewpoint offers a spectacular panorama that can include views of Mount Teide, Roque Nublo, and the expansive lower regions of Gran Canaria—if the weather is just right! On clear days, the vistas are said to be nothing short of magnificent, making it a popular spot for photographers and nature lovers alike.

However, our visit was shrouded in a heavy fog that obscured the view entirely. The only sight we were treated to was a cheerful group of Polish cyclists, who, thankfully, arrived by regular airline rather than attempting an oceanic drive! At least, that’s what they assured me between laughs.

Did you know? Pico de las Nieves is the highest point in Gran Canaria, standing at 1,949 meters (6,394 feet) above sea level. It’s not just a lookout; it’s a fantastic place to appreciate the unique climate and diverse ecosystems of the Canary Islands.
