While Puerto Rico Beach may not be the crown jewel of culinary delights (the nearby restaurants seem to echo the sentiments of our hotel host—“not recommended”), it still serves its purpose well. If you’re here, expect a limited menu featuring coffee and sweets, with a side of caution if you encounter the local crabs, which are both plump and prudent in their wave-cutting antics.

Don’t forget to check out the small marina nearby, where you might spot some local fishermen preparing their gear for the day.
