Playa De Guigui

Motto

Don’t even think about attempting this if you’re not sure of what you seek! We tried to reach this elusive beach but had to turn back midway at the mountain pass. If you want to avoid the same fate, be sure to read this post thoroughly! :)

Preparation for the Trek

Gear up with sturdy hiking shoes, pack plenty of water, and muster your patience for a 5-kilometer trek—remember, it’s all uphill one way and then the same back down.

Ideal Adventure

Start your trek at dawn, before the sun rises. Hike to the beach, set up camp, and kick back for the day. When night falls, gaze up at a sky full of stars—there’s nothing quite like it! Then, make your way back the next morning, refreshed and exhilarated.

Alternatives

If this trek sounds a bit too intense, consider a visit to Playa de Tasartico, which you can easily access by car.

Did you know? Playa de Guigui is one of the most secluded beaches in Gran Canaria, making it a hidden gem for those who dare to venture off the beaten path.

After our climb, we returned to the car, utterly exhausted but filled with memories of our adventure. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
